Prince George All-Candidates Forums

I just received notice that the Stand Up For the North committee have organized two federal election all-candidates forums for Prince George. Candidates running for MP will have a chance to explain their positions and answer questions from the audience on two themes: Canada’s economic direction and Bill C-51.

[Here’s the Globe and Mail’s explanation of Bill C-51 and why it’s been controversial.]

#1: Wednesday, September 16
Theme: Canada’s Key Economic Issues and Future Direction

When: 7:00-9:00 pm
Where: Room 1-306, College of New Caledonia
Sponsored by: College of New Caledonia Faculty Association; others TBA

#2: Wednesday, October 7
Theme: Bill C-51 and the Rights of Canadians

When: 7:00-9:00 pm
Where: Room 1-306, College of New Caledonia
Sponsored by: College of New Caledonia Faculty Association; others TBA

I’ve attended many all-candidates forums (municipal, provincial, federal) put on by Stand Up For the North, and they are excellent. It’s a great chance to really hear what each candidate has to say and what their parties represent, to help you make your decisions for election day.
