little free libraries

Little free libraries are small book-houses that are put up in neighbourhoods, stocked with books, and operated on an honour system basis. I think they’re a really neat idea for encouraging literacy. Perhaps this would be a good project for high school woodworking classes.

On the the Little Free Library website, you can access resources to build your own LFL, read about the Little Free Library movement, and check out a gallery of custom designs.
